Does anyone have the full text (or at least the metes and bounds with adjoining property owners) for the deeds where Henry Bowen transferred land to his children/descendants (1700's) in Frederick Co? I am trying to plot the locations of these lands (I have a rough idea), but it would help a lot if I had this information. I will send for deed copies if necessary, but I thought someone on this list might have the information and simplify my task, save me time, and save me money! After I plot the parcels with the adjoining land owners shown, I will be happy to share those plots with those who share deed information! Thanks, Ellen

Ralph Triplett also joined with Grace Kelso Garner for a publication as I recall. Garner published books concerning cemetery and marriage (and other) references independently as well. These books were available via US Mail from the Hoenstine Rental Library, 415 Montgomery St., PO Box 208, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648 (Tel. 814-695-0632) at one time I know. This library had an assortment of old history-reference books regarding Old-Frederick Co., VA which included present Hampshire-Hardy Co.'s WV (the South Branch of the Potomac settlement areas.) Rental wasn't cheap but 'a bunch' less than purchasing every book available. I believe Wilmer Kerns' books encompass at least some of these Triplett-Garner references. I have been working on a possible connection to my Lock(e) family line .
