    1. Need Lookup - Jacob ABNETT
    2. Joshua ABNETT is found on CD 315 Census Index as follows: Abnett, Joshua 1830-1839 CD315 Census Index: U.S. Selected Counties Abnett, Joshua 1830-1839 VA CD315 Census Index: U.S. Selected Counties I have the following information: Joshua Abnett VA West Frederick County p 100 If someone has access to this census, I would appreciate a look-up and any additional family information that is shown for him and his family. Also, what is meant by "West Frederick County" in Virginia? And why is the census listed in the index as 1830-39, instead of just 1830 or 1840? I will greatly appreciate any help on this! Thanks so much! Liz

    2. Hello, I am new to these lists, so I figured I would start out by posting a name and see what happens. I am know that in some areas there is a lot of history with this family, but right now I am at a standstill. I am looking for the parents of John Burton Chasteen/Chastain, Sr., b. 1822 in Lincoln Co.. TN. He married Sarah White, b. 1826, and after having 2 children they moved to MO. I have everything from my husband back to John. From there, I am at a total loss. Any leads out there? Thank you- Audri Badman-Chasteen

    1. LAING, BUZZARD and related families
    2. Linda
    3. I am resaraching LAING and BUZZARD in Frederick County between 1785 and 1848, James LAING and Helen Dawson immigrated between 1784-86 from Scotland northeast of Sterling. James was apparently a cooper (barrelmaker). They were in Virginia by 1789 and James bought land NW of Winchester near the Berkeley county line in 1798. James and Helen had 13 children. Their son John LAING married Elizabeth BUZZARD in 1832. She may be the daugher of John BUZZERD and Mary HIGH of Hampshire Co. and grand daughter of Frederick BUZZARD and Susannah BUCKWALTER. In 1833 John and Elizabeth bought the family place and lived there until 1848 when they left the area with their young family for Iowa. Most of the LAING family had already moved to Ohio and Indiana. The other children of James Laing and Helen Dawson were: Robert, Betsy, William, Jeany, James, Rachel, Rebekah, Catherine, Frances, John, Elizabeth, and Samuel. They married with families: BISHOP, JEUVILE, DUNLAP, FORCE, JOHNSON/JOHNSTON, TIDBALL, SUMMERVILLE, and PIPER. I would be glad to share information.

    3. Hello everyone, I'm part of a group of people, researching Clarks and all their related families. We've constructed 6 webpages giving (Direct Line Descendancy's) of the lines from which some of us descend and/or are researching. It's at http://members.tripod.com/ClarkCousins/ (Note: Many of us are cousins who have found each other online while researching Clarks.) If you're researching a Clark line, please drop by and see if we have any information on your Clark line. You might even be another cousin. If you only have one Clark in your family, you might want to drop by and try to find out if you're related to any of us. Keep in mind these are not complete charts, they contain only the basic direct line descendancy of that Clark researcher. If you feel you may have a connection to any of the lines, please contact us at [email protected] If your Clark line isn't there already, you can contribute your own Clark line for posting, if you like. It might help you find new family info or maybe even meet a cousin you never knew you had.
