Hello, I apologise for that. However, I should point out that I did say "sort of", as well as putting the phrase "Bishop's committee" in quotation marks. I wonder if the Cyclopedia entry I quoted wrong in saying, "England the chapter of a cathedral church consists of persons ..... whereof the dean is chief, all subordinate to the bishop, to whom they are as assistants in matters relating to the church" ?
