Karen, He must have lived or had his business premises in the 'yard' of an inn called the George in Southwark, or in an area called that which had previously been the yard of the the inn. The yard in this case could be quite a large area with stabling and outbuildings. As James was a carrier this was the London end of his business, so he ran wagons or whatever from Surrey to the George. Lyn B
