Hi everyone: I received this response from "Petra" on the Cumberland Mailing List, to my request to look at the "Bill of Acquittance" Court document. She happened to know where Hayrigg (modern spelling) is located near Silloth in present day Cumbria. Place names can be hard to read and figure out, so it helped to give a link to the OEL on the Rootsweb Cumberland List. They gave me several good responses, mostly on-list. Art.
