No, but before it was raised to cathedral status it was the mother parish church, to be precise the collegiate and parish church. It tends to confuse people because although it did not become a cathedral until 1837 the good old LDS describe it as cathedral for it's whole existance. But the constant factor is it's being the Parish Church, it didn't loose this status when it became Cathedral, it is to this date the parish church.
