Hi all, Some of you may be interested in a recent addition to the National Archives (which I don't think anyone has mentioned on this list): Ancient Petitions, Henry III - James I You can now <http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documentsonline/browse-refine.asp?CatID= 25&searchType=browserefine&pagenumber=1&query=*&queryType=1> search and download over 17,000 petitions. Generally they fall into two categories; some persue grievances which could not be resolved at common law while others are requests for a grant of favour. Search on Petitioner name, Places mentioned, Occupation, Subject, Other Keywords (such as Addressees, Other People mentioned or the older forms of surnames).
