China I wonder if the china had any pointed bits in its construction or design? OED gives 'peak' 1840 as the pointed top of anything. Maybe the covers and lids were pointed? Depending on family's status, by 1821 I would expect it to be "best" china bequeathed in a will. The poorest of the poor were not usually making wills at this time. In earlier periods, when people had fewer worldly goods, every second-best and third-best household item was worthy of being specifically bequeathed.
