    2. Dear Eusebeia and list, I wanted to thank all you that were so kind to look at the "mystery letter". It is actually a P, as Eusebeia pointed out, even if the writer uses the other form not only in the next word but in all other occurrences of the letter P in the six-page document. GoogleBooks has "Collections Historical & Archaeological Relating to Montgomeryshire", Powys-land Club, 1884, v.17; p. 351 gives Parry of Llanerchydol, and p. 354 has "... John Peers Parry, born 1818; M. A. Cantab., in holy orders...". William Rogers was related to this Parry family. Thanks again!
