You might luck out and find an obit to get the dates you need. I would be glad to help but having car woes at the time. I know a lady who researched a Lucas family in this area. I will see if it is the same as yours. Good luck. genealogy@bartlesville.lib.ok.us

However, the John listed was too old to be my cousin. My "Johnny Lucas" would have been born sometime in the 1930s. I was told that he was buried beside his 6 year old son in the Dewey Cemetery. Relatives said they thought it was "by the fence." His father was Owen and his Mother was Beulah. She remarried and is buried elsewhere.

This posting has nothing to due with the assoc. other than to let all know there is one, I was to my first reunion at Ft Sill and I found that they do not have much information on our units, so I would like to put together as much information as we can so we can provide it to all our units vets, out of the Approx 100 Vets at this reunion there were 3 from B. Btry and 4 from C Btry 6/16, but with me and the Capt it was 6 from C Btry 6/16 as we were there for the change over so we were part of both units, if you are a former member or if you know of one please contact me. He was indeed a peace officer in Bartlesville, OK until his death in 1933. He was involved in an auto accident and died from the injuries. I have found that he claimed to be a 1/4 Choctaw on the census in 1930. Would you share any information on Mary and do you have any information on Mary's first husband? Unfortunately, all the relatives with historical knowledge have passed away. So any information you may have would be greatly appreciated.

    1. Anyone connect?
    2. Mimi Alexander
    3. Hi Folks, Does anyone out there connect to the HARVEY or ROBERTS line? FRANK EBENEZER HARVEY, was born, 1897, in Schell City, Missouri. He died in 1973, in Ochelata, Oklahoma, (Washington Co.). He was married to TURA ELSIE ROBERTS on Sept. 28, 1921, in Nevada, Missouri and they soon moved to Washington County, OK., where they raised their family, two of the daughters being: WILMA JUNE HARVEY, (1923), and BETTY SUE HARVEY, born 1933. FRANK EBENEZER HARVEY, (shown above), was the son of: JOHN THOMAS HARVEY, and MELISSA APPLEGATE, and Melissa was a sister to ELIZA ANNIE APPLEGATE who married SAMUEL ALEXANDER. SAMUEL ALEXANDER and his wife, ELIZA APPLEGATE are buried at: Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville, OK.. My search is only for the "parentage" of SAMUEL ALEXANDER. I am hoping someone connects to the HARVEY or ROBERTS line which might shed information as to the parentage of SAMUEL ALEXANDER. *Thanks a bunch* Mimi

    1. Oldest living county residents?
    2. Mimi Alexander
    3. Hello Washington County, My husband's folks lived in and about Washington County, OK., from about 1915 til now. Course.....most of the old timers are long gone, with the younger generations still there. Most all of us know of someone who was known to have lived in during that by-gone era of the early 1900's. Certainly, there must be some good folks, age 80 - 90, (still alive), who lived in Washington County, OK., during that early time period? I would give just about anything to have contact with some of those persons who have knowledge about those early years during the oil boom, who might even have lived in those oil camp communities near Nowata, Oglesby, Ocelata, Hogshooter, and Dewey, between about 1915 to 1945. It was during that 30 year period we find families, "moving around", just down the road from one oil field community to the next one, therefore these folks might be found in more than one Census for that year! Census were not all conducted on the same day, nor the same week, or the same month for that matter..... This is why it's sometimes difficult to pin-point a family, or in my case, I found one ancestor listed on two different Census records in one year, each taken only a few miles from the other! If anyone out there has the name of someone who might have lived in any of those areas mentioned above, please email me with their name and location where I might contact them. It is from our eldest senior citizens that we can get the most wonderful genealogical information. These folks are to be cherished and treasured for sure! Have a great day~ Mimi Huffman Alexander Big Bear Lake, CA wallyjakeandme@msn.com<mailto:wallyjakeandme@msn.com>

    3. Hello Washington Co, I'm new to this List and come with a few questions..... Where exactly is the town of, Lincoln, OK.? I understand it was in Washington County in the year of 1910, as per the U.S. Census, but I'm unable to locate exactly where in Washington County. Was this town dissolved, and if so, into what new town? My search is focused on the following ancestors so if any of you fine folks out there connect to, or have information to share, I welcome it gladly, and I'm very happy to share what I have with you. SAMUEL ALEXANDER, b. 1867 -(Illinois), is found in the 1910 Census as living in Simpson Township, Dewey, OK.. (Is the Samuel Alexander "shown above" the same Samuel Alexander the same person as shown below? Both are shown as living in Washington County, OK.. (#2) SAMUEL ALEXANDER, b.1858, (Illinois),- d.1937, Bartlesville, OK., married to ELIZA ANNIE APPLEGATE. The children of Samuel, b.1858, and Eliza Applegate are listed below.
