Below is everything I have on this family. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Larawood Woodward Bozarth b. Feb 1859 Taney Co, MO d. before 1910 Oklahoma m. Mary Letterman b.May 1862 MO d. after 1920 but before 1930 in Washington Co, OK Suppossidly Mary is buried at Dewey Cemetery. Children: 1) Ollie (Male) b. 1879 d. abt 1928 Washington Co, OK m. Sires 2) Thomas b. April 1882 d. 1930 Dewey, Washington Co, OK buried: Dewey Cemetery m. abt 1924 to Mary b. 1883 3) Nathan b. Jan 1885 d. 17 or 27 April 1915 Dewey, Washington Co, Ok buried: Dewey Cemetery Nathan shot and killed Marshal James Gibson and another man, Paradee, while drunk. He then committed suicide. 4) Annie b. April 1887 5) Gertie b. May 1890 Ok 6) Burl b. 1895 Ok - 1922 Dewey, Washington Co, OK Buried: Dewey Cem m. Eliza Florence Applegate 7) Hester/Ester b. Oct 1898 Ok 9) Jay Joey (Joe) b. 11 Sept 1900 OK m. Anne/Anna about 1920 Washington Co, OK She was born in Michigan - Son Robert b. abt 1921 In 1910 this family was living in Copan, Washington Co, Ok. 1920 they were in Dewey, Washington Co, OK. In 1930 they were in Jefferson. On the 1910 Census, son Thomas is listed as head of household as father had passed away. Also listed on there are 2 nieces, Pauline Bozarth and Violet Bozarth, ages 3 and 2. I have found nothing on these girls and can not determine which of the Bozarth boys they belong to. I have narrowed it down to either Ollie or Nathan though. Also, Mary Bozarth listed on the 1910 Census that she had birthed 10 children, only 8 living at the time of the census. I have no idea who the additional 2 children are or when/where they were born. I live in Texas and am unable to go and personally view Dewey Cemetery. I have a feeling that as 3 of the boys; Nathan, Tom and Burl are buried there, it is quite possible many of the others are there as well. Does anyone know of someone who does cemetery lookups in that area or such? Also, the boys Tom and Jay (Joe) were listed as Bozart on the World War I Registration Index. It is the only thing I have found thus far with their name spelled differently, but it's possible they may have dropped the h off the end. I have been unable to locate this family on the 1900 census, although they should be Oklahoma. In 1880, they were in Webster Co, Missouri. They moved to Oklahoma sometimes between 1883 and 1893. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am really stuck on this family. In fact, I've been at it so long I'm starting to get a head ache :).

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/FZB.2ACE/787 Message Board Post: I was wondering if anyone could tell me where to look, I have my Great-grandmothers roll number 89620 Annie Cochran, She had one son Lewis (Louis) Eaton which had my father Walter Eaton, then there is us. Louis and Betsy Cochran are Annie's parents. There that is my history. Now for my question and a little more background I can't find Annie anywhere except the Dawes rolls. My grandfather Lewis (Louis) was born in 1913 according to the 1920 census he is born in Lee's Creek Arknasas living with his Annie's Parents. I was able to obtain a delayed Oklahoma birth certificate stating he was born in Stillwell, Ok. So greatful of having something with his signature. Reason for being so greatful, something of my grandfather that I didn't have any connection with, he passed away when I was 8 and my father didn't know about him, he left my father when he was 6 months old. Here is where it gets strange, my grandfather didn't apply for a copy of his card until 6 years after his death. Annie was a original allotee, her land is in someone else's name, no record of the restriction ever being lifted, or even being sold. (field solicitor's office in Tulsa, BIA, and Cherokee nation). I am looking for something that will help me find something of her, to get a date of death, time frame when alive, anything. I have talked to the Cochrans in Stillwell, none of them know who Annie is. My father passed away in 1996 and this was something that always bothered him, he wanted to know his cherokee side, what clan are we? Question, how do I find a Ghost or a Piece of the Past? I guess family means so much to me because I never had half of it. The Eaton family side (white) didn't even know we existed. They don't know who Annie is, but he did marry someone named Anna. No son ever mentioned. Thank you for your patience and listening to my ramblings... Cyndi Crews

In 1864, Isabelle was interned in a concentration camp at Fort Snelling, MN after the Indian "uprising". I have found no record yet of where Emma went. Clearly she would have been an adult at the time of the internment and may have fled east. Interestingly, her younger sister is Jane Williams who was born in @1849. Thus, a theory might be that your great great is named after her mother and her aunt. Just a theory. I need to track still where Isabelle Wakeman went after Fort Snelling and who her two young sons were (born in approximately 1858 and 1860). My theory is that they are Joseph Napoleon Seguin and Napoleon Seguin, respectively, but that is just a theory right now.

I just wanted to thank all of you who responded with suggestions for my research while I am in Bartlesville. I went online and found the librariy's website, so I'm going to try and narrow down what I want to look at before I get there. Thanks for the ideas on looking through the vertical files containing the photos, the Talking Tombstones book, and the Family Histories. I will call the cemeteries ahead of time to get locations, maps, etc. I was able to get the index and maps of the White Rose Cemetery online, but didn't find one for the Memorial Park Cemetery. I will call them tomorrow. I will be sure and look for the individuals and surnames requested - KIRTLEY and REDFORD (and if any FRANKLINs are around Redfords). Any other requests, please let me know. Thanks again for the many suggestions. I really appreciate your help! Kari Overson kari@harbornet.com
