I have our gg grandfather buried in Marietta, Washington Co. OK. His name is Gavin Ovid Johnson. Born 1/21/1866 in Morris Chapel, Hardin Co. TN - died 4/22/1947 in Duncan, Stephens Co. OK. I can't seem to find his grave stone and would love some ones help in finding this. Any help would be so great. I can't find hardly anything on him. Any help would be so great. John possibly born:1783 in Virginia or Alabama & died possibly 1875 in Arkansas. He was"PVT" in the 7th REG. US Infantry & married Mary Anne "MOLLY" Couch. His son John, Jr. "Jack" run the "Fitzgerald" Stagecoach line which is later known as "Butterfield Stagecoach Station" in Shiloh. My grandmother always said before she passed away to us kids to not let anyone ever kid us that we were kin to John F. Kennedy (President) way, way down the line. She left a Portrait of John & Jacqueline which my mother had when she passed away. Don't know if this story is true but sure would appreciate any information anyone would have. Also heard their was some Indian heritage in Fitzgerald but can't find any information on that. My grandmother was Martha Adeline Fitzgerald (Evans) 1st & 2nd (Collins) who lived at Picher Ok. at the time of her death in 1964. Hello, My Grandpa's uncle was a driver for Frank Phillips in the 20's and 30's. I understand his name is still on the intercom at the Frank Phillips home in Bartlesville. His name was Charles Theobald and his wife at the time was Nettie. Is anyone else researching the Theobald's? Charles died in 1933 and Nettie died about 1950. I have tried contacting the Frank Phillips home to see if they may have any information about Charles. I have not heard a reply. Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction to find out some history about Frank Phillips and my Ggreat Uncle Charles? Thanks, Darin

It is shown in the 1920 census that a relative of mine is a smelter laborer. Can someone tell me what a smelter laborer is & what kind of smeltering would this be??? Do I sound stupid enough?? ...Gerry
