Mr. Cann, 79, of Grants Pass, died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2005. He was born July 10, 1926 in Tulsa, OK. He married Phyllis Freeman in 1949, and they later divorced after 17 years. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1975 from Newhall, CA. Mr. Cann had served in the U.S. Navy during WW II on the USS Clearfield in the South Pacific. After the service, he did heavy construction and worked on the pipelines for Applegate, Elk Creek and Lost Creek Dams. He enjoyed painting, vintage cars, muscle cars and was a singer. Survivors include, a daughter, Karen Yerrick of Grants Pass; a son, Steven Cann of Los Banos, CA; his mother, Virginia L. Beard of Visalia, CA; two brothers, George and Don Cann; two sisters, Virginia Miller and Mary Docken; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Arrangements: Memory Gardens, Medford.
