In 1985 Tulsa had two newspapers, the Tulsa World and the Tulsa Tribune, and I would recommend that you ask Linda to copy both for you, if she finds them. She can also help you with the funeral home research. She's quick and she knows most of the funeral home staff personally. Our society has published funeral home records and has indexed them, so locating the correct funeral home should be fairly easy. Linda provides this service for TGS as a fundraising endeavor, but there is not a set fee -- just a donation.
