    3. Linda, thank you for your effort doing this post. I didn't live on the North side (I grew up on the near West side of Tulsa, practically downtown -- on Jackson Place just off of W. third just before the Frisco tracks overpass heading toward Newblock Park and Sand Springs.). I graduated from Central in 1958. Anyway, I noticed the name of the author of the first article posted -- a Eunice BUSHYHEAD. Back in the mid 50's one of my uncles on my mother's side and his family lived in a small town named BUSHYHEAD. Town my foot! The town consisted of one "filling station" with store and a grade school. This town was/is located just East of a slightly bigger town named Foyle which was just a few miles East of Claremore on highway 66. I often wondered where the name BUSHYHEAD came from and long ago concluded that it must have been named after some guy that had several bad hair days. Now that I know that there are actually people with that last name I have changed my conclusion. Proves that one never stops learning.
