Hello, Tulsa! Looking for the descendants of George W. AUSTIN & Mattie Pearl HERNDON. George was b. MS and was the Superintendent of Schools in Wagoner between 1911-1914, and was President of the Oklahoma College for Women (now the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma) in Chickasha, Grady Co., OK, serving from 1914 until his death in 1926. Pearl was the Director of Residence Halls at the college from 1926 until 1958, and d. 1961 in Chickasha. . George and Pearl's children apparently were David M. AUSTIN, who may? have died young, and India or Indiana Miriam HUNT, who apprently went by her middle name, and married Cecil HUNT, an attorney in Tulsa, OK. Their reported children were David HUNT & Tulsa HUNT (male.) George Washington AUSTIN was the son of David Jones AUSTIN, a Methodist minister & teacher. Pearl was the daughter of Zachariah HERNDON & Indiana McMILLAN. Look forward to hearing from any descendants. I have the AUSTIN side of the family from 1660 to share with them, and I can put them in contact with researchers who have extensive information on Pearl's ancestry.
