In April of 1966, my own daughter was ran over by an inattentive driver who was leaving my residence. Instead of the lady backing out the driveway, she backed across my front yard, and ran over my 15 month old daughter. I suppose the fact that I was 9 months pregnant with twins deterred the law enforcement from filing charges. But, in the process of trying to run and save my daughter, I fell and killed one of the twins I was carrying. The other baby was born 18 days later. Only God knows why these things happen. My grandmother told me that no one ever gets taken home to heaven unless they are perfect. I have always reminded myself of that. I try to think that my baby daughter became perfect that afternoon and it was time for her to go home. It is not easy living with the pain, but I have had to for 36 years. May God Bless and Keep His Hand on Your Shoulder. Mary
