I have a photocopy of a story from the Sandsprings Leader Focus section printed in April 14, 1989. The story that I am interested in is titled "12 Horses Burn in Early Morning Fire" the original story is dated April 16, 1920. I have the story concerning the fire, what I am interested in is any follow up stories concerning the fire at Patton & Blanchard feed store. This feed store was run by my Great Grandfather, Frank Gibbs, I have a recorded interview of my great grandmother, Lizzie Gibbs, Frank's wife, were she talks about this fire, she states that it took days before they were able to put the fire out as it smoltered, the paper account says that houses 5 blocks away caught fire from embers in the air, from the newspaper account of the fire and the story from my great grandmother I imagine this was a pretty big story for the time. I am hoping that maybe in the days that followed there was more written about the fire, I greatly appreciate any help that is offered.
