I am trying to obtain an obit for Lennie Jewel THOMAS who died April 14, 1999 in OK. The SSDI shows Residence: McAlester, Pittsburg, OK, last benefit: same. Using a search engine for the name, I got limited info stating that an obit was published in the Tulsa World, Pub date 4-16-1999, Lennie Jewel Thomas, 91, maintenance supv, died Wed. Services 1pm Friday, Bishop Funeral Home Chapel. I tried an on-line archives search of the Tulsa World and got nothing. I tried locating a Bishop Funeral Home, and a town of Bishop, again nothing. Is anyone in OK familiar with Bishop Funeral Home - where it may be located - or can you help me check for the obit? I am open to suggestions on how to proceed on finding the obit or any info on Lennie or her family. She had one boy and four girls and hopefully some are still living.
