Carolyn, My GreatGreatgrandparents were MILLERs. Right now all I know for sure is, his name may have been Isaac or General. Two of their daughters were Eliza (Liza, Elizabeth, Lizzie) and Mahala. Plus somehow a Jacob and Nancy fit into the puzzle. I believe Jacob to be a brother to Isaac. Do any of these names sound familiar to you. I know Liza died in OK and Mahala died in KS but do not know where they were born but think it may have been MO. Hope some of these names ring a bell with you. Thanks...Bonnie >Posted on: Tulsa County Queries >Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ok/Tulsa/10534 > >Surname: Roark, Miller, Archer, Hubbell, Shields, Mckee >------------------------- > >Looking for info and descendants of a Mamie Miller Roark and a Byrd Roark. >I believe he passed away recently in 1995. Posted on: Tulsa County Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Ok/Tulsa/10532 Surname: ------------------------- Sorry, Gary. I searched the Tulsa World newspapers for November 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30 and December 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and find no mention of William Marshall Ward's obit or notice of death in the Tulsa listings. (I do not have the November 26th paper) Perhaps a notice of death was submitted to another town's paper? Was he in a hospital in another town? I also went to the Tulsa World website (www.tulsaworld.com) and did an archive search. The only WARDs that came up for that period were notices of death for women. Audrey
Hello everyone - Can anyone help with marriage info that occurred probably late 1960's or early 1970's in Tulsa? The couple was Johnny Lee Harding, Jr. and a Native American female by the name of Lorna. Lorna's maiden name is unknown. They had three children born in the 1970's ... Katherine, Natalie and John the third. ANY info would be incredibly helpful. Thanks in advance for anything. - Charlene

Oooops, you did say Nov 2000--not "last week", as I first took it. If there was an obit, I still might be able to send you a copy. Will contact you later. "Blind Audrey"
Posted on: Tulsa County Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ok/Tulsa/10530 Surname: WARD ------------------------- I have a stack of papers to take to recycling. I checked my "Tulsa World Newspapers" from March 2nd to March 15th and find no mention of a notice of death nor an obit for your Mr. Ward. Perhaps he lived in a nearby community? If so, do you know the name? Or perhaps no obit was submitted yet. That paper is also online at: www.tulsaworld.com/ Your uncle lived a long, long life. He deserves an obit. Audrey
Try www.tulsaworld.com It's the webstie for the Tulsa World which is the Tulsa paper. They have archived copies back to about 1981 I think online, and the database is searchable. Hi, I am originally from Bixby. If he died there a notice would probably be in the Bixby Bulletin, at 8545 E 41st, Tulsa, OK phone 918-663-1414. I got one of the phone books while visiting a couple of years ago and it has been very helpfull. If he is buried at Bixby it will be Bixby Cemetery info at 918-366-4430. Good Luck.

Posted on: Tulsa County Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ok/Tulsa/10525 Surname: Woolsey, Ringstaff ------------------------- I am looking for more information on my grandmother, Mildred Virginia Woolsey (1915-1974) and her third husband, M.C. Ringstaff. She applied for Social Security in Tulsa in 1942, but apparently was living in Springfield, MO. in the 1950s. She moved to San Diego before 1960 and died there in 1974. The San Diego city directories say that she was the widow of M. C. Ringstaff, but her death certificate says that she was divorced. - Heather
Posted on: Tulsa County Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ok/Tulsa/10524 Surname: Beasley, Woolsey, Palmer ------------------------- I am trying to find where my great-grandmother married her second husband. Her name was Zena Mae Beasley (1893-1969) and she applied for Social Security in Tulsa in 1939 using the name Palmer. Her city directory entries in San Diego in the 1960s say that she was the widow of Jack Palmer. She divorced her first husband, Charles Elisha Woolsey, in Springfield, MO in 1931. Springfield does not have a record of her marriage to Jack Palmer. Where should I write to find out if she married Jack Palmer in Tulsa? - Heather
The records have been microfilmed and are available at LDS Family History Centers. If your local center does not have them they can be ordered from Salt Lake. (our FHC charges $4 per film). " Oaklawn Cemetery records ". There are two films: Index & Cemetery records, 1881-1982 Film# 1314321 Cemetery Records (cont.) 1881-1982 Film# 1314322 *The film numbers above were listed in the Library catalog online at the Familysearch.org website. For more information you can go to the website and do a search in the library catalog. If you are near Salt Lake you can go to the Library and there's also a hard copy book available. Hope this helps. Mary ----- Original Message ----- Sent: Thursday, March 08, 2001 2:56 PM Subject: [OKTULSA] Oaklawn Cemetery > Records DO exist for Oaklawn.
Records DO exist for Oaklawn. Last year, during the Memorial Day weekend, they had a city attendant in their tiny booth at the entrance of the cemetery with a record book. He was very helpful. Barbara Holman
