    2. Researching families of DECK, MORRISON, and HILL. The DECK family all resided around Garden City (Tulsa), OK in 1920-50's. The Morrison family, Tommie and Alfred Morrison lived in Garden City all the way through Tommie Deck Morrison's death in 1982. Her daughter Irene Hill and husband James Hill also resided in Garden City area. I believe Irene Hill passed away in 1997. Anyone recognize these families. Would love to get in touch with any of Irene and James Hill's children. Irene Hill was born about 1919 and had an older brother G? Morrison. B. Perkins

    3. Charlie Johnson died 21 March 1914 in Tulsa. According to the death certificate he died of a gunshot by a "unknown assailant." However, the family stated that he was killed by Tom HUCKABY who was later sentenced to prison time for the deed. Would there be newspaper stories about this? An obituary for Charlie Johnson? I'd appreciate any assistance on this. Alene

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/EZB.2ACE/372.374 Message Board Post: There are two cemeteries close to the Wekiwa corner, which was the jog in the old highway at 145th West Ave. They are 2.25 miles west and lay next to each other across a fence line. They are on the south side of the expressway's south lane and are visible if you are slow and can look. They are usually approached from the old highway or from 193rd West Ave. I will try to attach a small map with two green trees to show the location. There is also a very small cemetery on the Corps of Engineers' tract below Keystone Dam. It used to be the community of Piatt and the cemetery was sometimes called the Anderson Cemetery. There were no names on the less than a dozen graves, twenty years ago. I put two trees on the map there, also. They are north of Candlestick Beach a few hundred feet but grown over quite a bit.

    1. [OKTULSA] SHELLENBARGER
    2. I know someone connected to your HENNY family. She grew up in Bixby and married Mil HENNY -- at which time, Mil was in the military. Her maiden name was Edna LUNDY and they had four sons (Jimmy, Cleon, Norman, and one whose name I can't recall just now), all quite young when Mil was electrocuted on his job between 1951 -1954, in Oregon. Edna returned to Oklahoma for a time and married one of Mil's relatives, Jack GRIFFIT / GRIFFITS. Jack died in Oregon about five or six years ago, after which she married a guy named Jerry. It seems he is also related to Mil and Jack. Edna and her sister are only two surviving LUNDY siblings. I last saw Edna about two and one-half years ago at a family reunion. Her brother was married to one of my sisters, both deceased. The SHELLENBARGER family was well known to them. I grew up between Bixby and Broken Arrow -- but of a later generation. I have heard my brother-in-law speak of Shellenbarger School -- and possibly a store. By the time I came along, the store at the corner of South Memorial and 131st Street South, was known by another name (Woods?). The building was still there a year or so ago. I also know of a Jerry SHELLENBARGER, of this same family, who married a WYRICK, that lived in the Tulsa area. I think he would be in his upper 50s. I will make a telephone call tomorrow to her sister in Broken Arrow and get Edna's address and telephone in Oregon. I just returned from Texas after a long drive and will follow up on this contact during this week. Peggy in Tulsa Peggy King Truesdell e-mail: [email protected]
