Is there someone there in Tulsa County that might be able to help this couple? Thanks Jeff Smith, Tulsa County Coordinator and Archivist "My fiancé and I are trying to obtain a marriage license. We are running into some roadblocks. I am disabled and cannot get into the County Court building on Denver Avenue. I am no able to push my wheelchair nor walk the distance from the handicapped parking to the court clerks office. My fiancé works 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. in a hospital. She only has weekends off. How can I obtain the application for marriage closer to where I live, Jenks, OK.?" We appreciate any assistance. Bob [email protected]

My husband's great aunt ran a hotel in Tulsa in the 1920's and 1930's. Her name was Minnie Adams Droz. She was divorced, so she may not have gone by her married name of Droz. Hello, I am desperate (well, maybe not desperate) but in dire need of information on numerous burials in Collinsville Cemetery. I cannot afford to hire a researcher. But I have access to the National Archives and can do census lookups as well as I have access to Seattle/Everett obituaries and other obituaries from around the county. I can offer to exchange research with someone who would go to the Collinsville Cemetery and record burials for me? Please email me directly: [email protected] Thank you! I've since been told that in the 20's, it was called Mid Continent Oil Refinery, in the late 40's/early 50's it became D-X Oil Refinery, then became D-X-Sunray. You may be correct about it now being Sunoco, I'm not sure. My g-grandpa worked for them in the 20's so I was trying to find out there name back then. This was all in the Garden City/Red Fork area. She married Corporal Ambrose D. Webb, U.S. Marine Corps on Jan 16, 1936 at Beaufort, South Carolina. Corpral Webb died in an auto accident in Beaufort on Feb 13, 1937. Edith accompanied his body to Tulsa, where he was interred in the Memorial Cemetery. She was apparently from the Tulsa area. She probably remarried and lived out her life there in Oklahoma. Her last name is in question. The obituary in Corpral Webb's hometown newspaper of Irvine, Kentucky said she was Edith Benjamin before marriage. All of Ambrose Webb's family are now dead. His brother, who was my father, said that she was from a family that was "In Oil". Any info on Edith will be appreciated. I am working on the Webb family history and Edith has been a blank for a long time. What is her date of birth and or death? Ottice G. Webb Stanton, Kentucky [email protected]
