The family story is that that my grandfather was there in the 1890s. It was supposed to be in Pickens County a few miles east of the present-day town of Commanche, Oklahoma. Another family story is that he and a friend, a Doctor Pruitt, liked to camp at a place called Mudd Creek. Jim
