Thanks Duane for that story! I'll send it on to a cousin. I know my greatgrandmother and Charley's mother were very close. Minnie would make frequent trips to OK to see family after her and my greatgrandfather and their kids move to CA in 1925. She also would go to OKC to see Archie Stewart often. She died in 1978 (born in 1888 in TX but lived all throughout southcentral OK until 1925) She married General Jackson York in Terral in 1905. If you have anymore, please send them anytime. Without the stories and personalities, this means nothing. I have a photo of Charlie with brother Roy and their mother. The boys were real young, photo probably taken in abt. 1910.
