Although I don't have an obit for Charley Ellis, I have some great memories of him. My mother, Ella Monkres, worked in the purchasing department at Halliburton's with Charley; we also attended church with them. Charley was one of most humerous men I ever met. He was known for his hilarious jokes and his happy outlook. One thing that sticks in my mind is the time Pauline was after him to replace the toilet lid with a newer one that would complement the decor in their bathroom.
