Okay, I guess I finally need to stop lurking, since something caught my eye. One of the Ray children's name was "James Garvin." Do you know the history behind his name? I ask because I'm researching the Garvin family. (and Acord, but it's pretty well documented.) My great-grandfather, James Robert Garvin, Sr., moved to Stephens County in 1892. He married Lucretia Ausborn, but I don't know that date. If anyone knows anything about this family, please contact me.
