They came to Stephens County from Texas. The only mention I have found of John Edwin's mother refers to her as Indian Maiden. I hope to find their marriage certificate. They were married in Missouri around 1875 and Benjamin Thomas and John appear in the 1880 census of Grayson County, Texas. John was 5 years old at that time which was about the time Benjamin and Mary Jane Lemons were married. There is information on the Caywood family to be found in a book written by Col. James Presgraves. It can be ordered from the LDS family history library on microfilm. Gedforum also has a Caywood surname page. I have met several cousins there. Caywoods were a prolific family and there are lots of us, mostly related! I hope to get my research together to put it on a web page soon. I have some material which came from Rachel Trolinder, a daughter of Hattie May, another Caywood sister. I would be interested in any information you might have on this family.
