    3. Rebecca - This information from "Oklahoma Place Names". "York. In southwestern Pontotoc County, 6 miles east of Hickory. A post office from August 17, 1894, to April 30, 1914. No longer in existence, it was named for Joseph F. York, first postmaster." Would anyone know if Stephens Co, would have been close enough to York, I.T. Pontotoc Co. for this Joseph to have traveled easily to get to the York Postoffice?     3. Eschiti Indian Cemetery was in the Rock Creek Township. Sorry I don't have anything more on it. It's possible that it had another name. I have that there was also a cemetery in Rock Creek called "Old Indian" Cemetery. Currently, we have Esther Lamb who posts obituaries from the Duncan area and Pat Davis who has done invaluable work on the cemeteries. I do not thank these ladies enough for their work. If you would like to volunteer please contact me privately. I would like to have more town histories online. Let me know if you can help with that. I would also like to have your input on what you would like to see on the page. I've often thought about putting up family information, but can not decide on the best format for that. Any ideas will be appreciated. The County site belongs to all of the Stephens county researchers. I'm just the person who coordinates the data. The more you are involved the better the site will be and your opinions and ideas are always welcome. Thank you.
