    3. Okay, I guess I finally need to stop lurking, since something caught my eye. One of the Ray children's name was "James Garvin." Do you know the history behind his name? I ask because I'm researching the Garvin family. (and Acord, but it's pretty well documented.) My great-grandfather, James Robert Garvin, Sr., moved to Stephens County in 1892. He married Lucretia Ausborn, but I don't know that date. If anyone knows anything about this family, please contact me. 2. My mother Mary Maree Cobble was born in Duncan either 1918 or 1920 one date on delayed birth record and another on her ss application. Mo was Vera Nell Jones Cobble, who was on the Dawes rolls...fading to white, as they say... My grnadFa was Roy Cobble. Anyone have a connection or cemetary records? All moved to California in 1923, leaving their parents behind. MABE, MANION or MARION, COLBERT, BOURLAND, I don't know Roy's COBBLE folks, but I think Maybe, or Mabe was his mother's side. email me if you have any info, I'd appreciate even clues. I have a vague hope for anecdotes, stories, or other non-official information. Jkohle@aol.com, Pennsylvania.

    2. Rebecca, I'm not sure that Terrall has ever had its own funeral home. Grantham's in Duncan has been there a long time, and the Boydston Funeral Home was in service in Duncan when I was a kid, but is no longer. Wade Funeral Home came along in the 50's, I think. Sorry I can't be of more help. Duane Monkres
