Jim; I reread this old email and think there is some conflict with my information. I think I have said that Albert Pryor lived in Polk County Arkansas. In 1880 he was in Alabama according to the Census. By 1887 he was in Polk County because Fletcher Shrigly was born there. There is not a lot of evidence about his stay in Polk County but a list of the proof is his registering to vote, a homestead application and a deed in 1901. Also he obtained a Confederate Pension. There are many Lunsfords still in Polk County. Also Mary and George obtained their Marriage Liscense there. At some point Albert Pryor moved to the Sallisaw area with his wife and lived with my Grandfather Albert Norcross. Albert Pryor kept getting his Confederate Pension until the late 1810's. His last entry does not say deceased but moved away. My Aunt Ruby Marrs claims that he moved to her fathers house but this is the only proof. Anyway it seems that Mary probably never lived in Sallisaw. The land was not sold until 1924 or that was when the sale was registered. Both Albert Norcross and Robert L Freeman made trips back to Mena in Polk County. Robert L. was a son of Albert Pryor second wife's first marriage. The reason was business for both as reported by the Mena Star. By the way the only reason I have these data is that I now live 8 miles west of Mena and have since 1978. It has taken years to get this info. I will review my notes and see if I can come up with more. Bill Psdo you have any pictures of Albert Pryor and his wife.
