I recently found an article in the 17 Aug 1947 issue of the Daily Oklahoman about a Sigrid Trott who was a teacher at the Henderson Cherokee Indian School 16 miles north of Sallisaw - near Marble in the Cookson Hills. The article mentions students, George Christie, 9 and Carne Fogg, 12. She and her husband Eugene owned a farm. He died in spring of 47 or 47. She had taught at the school for several years. Does anyone have more information about this lady? I believe she was originally from Kansas.
