I am looking for information on my great grandfather, James J. Jordan who was born in the Sallisaw area in the 1860s. His only living child, my great aunt has been my "informant", but she remembers little about his family - but what little we know or she remembers is listed below: 1) he has 2 sisters who lived in the Sallisaw area then in the McAlester area 2) she was told that one of these sisters lost an arm in a railroad accident in the McAlester, OK area 3) his parents names were Jack and Sarah 4) the 1910 census states that his father was born in GA and his mother in SC 5) his parents both died in the early 1900s - we don't know how, when or where 6) the other information I have on him is from the Pittsburg Co area where he was a coalminer and married my great grandmother, Frances Nichols Jordan I'm totally lost as to where to go from here, but if anyone has any ideas, I'm open to all!
