I received the microfilm of the 1890 Cherokee Nation Census. It had the following Districts: Illinois, Saline, Sequoyah, and Tallaquah (partial). I was greatly disappointed - as I was looking for my Anderson ancestors in the Sequoyah District - to read the note saying: "The surnames of A through G were missing from the census book and therefore could not be microfilmed". So, the Sequoyah District begins with surnames beginning with "H". I post this just in case anyone else wanted to order the film and their surnames were between A and G.
Sharander, Just a thought, but there is a 1890 First Territorial Census of Indian Territory. I am going through that right now. The districts are sometimes a little unclear, and it is long and not indexed (I've been working on it about 8 hours and am about 1/2 way through!), but it might be that your ancestors may be there. I'm not sure, but it may be worth checking into. Does anyone else know?
