Becky, the library in Muldrow is pretty good. The one in Sallisaw is my second choice. The old newspapers are on microfilm at the newspaper office and the last time I went there they did not have a microfilm reader with printer. At the courthouse look at the indexes, probate etc., write down names and numbers of records you want to see, THEN go to the vault. You are pretty much on your own at the courthouse. Try the funeral homes. I believe the Agent funeral home is the oldest one. The best resource I found in Sallisaw was by talking to some of the older people on the street or at restaurants. Good luck.
