I am interested in joining / purchasing materials from any genealogical societies for the Sequoyah Co. area. Online I found 2: --- Sequoyah Co. Genealogical Society --- PO Box 1112 --- Sallisaw, OK 74955 and --- Muldrow Genealogical Society --- PO Box 1253 --- Muldrow, OK 74948 I sent letters to both of these addresses and both were returned to me! With further research I was told this: --- Sequoyah County Historical Society --- PO Box 503 --- Sallisaw, OK 74955 and --- Muldrow Genealogical Society --- c/o The Muldrow Library --- PO Box 449 --- Muldrow, OK 74948 I have not tried these addresses yet, but I plan to. I was wondering if anyone out there has had any experience with these 2 societies? Are they real societies? Are they just trying to get started up and running out of a closet somewhere? Does anyone know anything about them? Becky
