I have a limited amount of webspace to share with other Choctaw researchers. The requirement is that the genealogy be formatted on a computer software program such as Familytree Maker. It should be output in the report or outline form and e-mailed to me. You would be responsible for its authenticity and getting updates and corrections to me. I am seeking information on the following families (below) Allen, Billy, Buff, Burris, Byington, Carby, Carnes, Clark, Cobb, Cole, Cox, Cuzalina, Driver, Evans, Faudree, Flinchum, Fob, Frazier, Freeman, Goode, Gulley, Hardaway, Harris, Harrison, Hines, House, Hull, John, Lack, Latimer, Lee, Leader, Lester, Lewis, Loman, Mann, McPherson, Messner, Mitchell, Moore, Napier, Nelson, Nohio, Perry, Phillips, Shockley, Thomas, Wheeler, Wesley, Wheeler and Wilkerson. These families (above) do not have their own pages, but are related by marriage to and included in the Impson family genealogy. Contact me if you have links to these families, have corrections or if you would like your (other) Choctaw family genealogy to appear on this website. Posted on: Sequoyah County, OK Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ok/Sequoyah/760 Surname: Campbell ------------------------- I am trying to find information for my father-in-law about his father and his grandparents. He has very little information for me to go on. He thinks his father's name was J.T. Campbell and his mother's name was Viola Branson. He says his mother use to talk about Sallisaw (Sequoyah County) alot. Both of his parents were born in Oklahoma. I have found a reference to a John Riley Campbell being born in Sallisaw on May 24, 1891 (parents John Bradford Campbell and Martha Elizabeth Arter), but I can't find anything else. My father-in-law says his grandfather Campbell had one arm and worked for the railroad (he thinks). He says his parents left Oklahoma in the early teens (1910-1920) and settled in Louisiana. His father died in Louisiana in 1935. I know this is a virtually no information at all, but I thought I would throw it out there just in case someone knows something.

Hello, I don't know if this is the information you are looking for, but, quoting from the Sequoyah County History Book that was printed around 1975 (Page 24), GREENWOOD JUNCTION was one of the towns along the Missouri Pacific Railroad. From East to West the towns were Greenwood Junction, Roland, Muldrow, Hanson, Sallisaw, Mckey, Vian and Gore. The railroad through Sequoyah Co. was originally built as part of the Kansas and Arkansas Valley Railroad. It went through Sallisaw, and that part was built in 1888. The whole line was finished in Nov., 1889. In 1909, the Kansas and Arkansas Valley Railway was sold to the Iron Mountain , which was consolidated in 1917 with the Missouri Pacific Railway -- and was then known as the MISSOURI PACIFIC RAILROAD. David, You have certainly peaked my curosity, and I will get in touch with the Historical Society and see what I can find for you on Greenwood Juntion and also I will see what I can find if anything on your names. I have never researched it, but there just may be a list for free people of color. I have been told by one that does research in this area of Genealogy, that there is a way to find this information. I will contact him and see if he has any sugestions of where all I may look. I will be glad to help you if I can. Many people have taken the time to help me, and in Genealogy at least they say the payment is to pass that help on to others. Lorene
