Carmen, I'm not sure where the information came from that there was not a 1920 Sequoyah Co. Census, but I know there is one as I've done quite a bit of research in it. So, again I'm not sure where the other individual got their information. :) Have you tried to obtain a copy of the social security application of your James W. Thompson? If he applied, and it is very possible he did since he passed away in the 1960's, there could be some valuable information on that record for you. Have you read any of the family information in the book The History of Sequoyah County? There may be a few clues in that book as well if any of your relatives participated in that project.
