    2. Cathy, I would love to have any information you have on James Spencer McEver, I show him married to a Elizabeth Bradley, but I know nothing about her family or her parents. Would appreciate anything you have. I also traveled to White, Ga, in 7-99 and took pictures of a lot of the graves, the town is named after my gg grandfather James Alexander White, his daughter was Florence who was married to Tom Wofford, and their daughter was Kate Wofford, who was married to Jim McEver, and Wilson was their son, and he was my father. I live in Vancouver, Wa. so am not able to see much of that part of the country, I was born in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, and have been there many times, I have a lot of family still there. Thanks again Sharon McEver Dow

    2. Most of the McEvers of North Georgia are in Cartersville and White, GA. The cemeteries of White, GA are full of them. My line of Georgia relatives live in South Georgia, but White and Cartersville are where a lot of them still lived. Our lines branch off with my gg-grandfather. Adrew Ripley was the brother of the group that went to OK. James Spencer and Andrew Ripley served in the Civil War, but the name was spelled McKeever. The Randolfs were also from the Cass, Bartow county area. I have a great deal of info on James Spencer and Andrew Ripley's family back to 1737 land grant from Pennsylvania.

    1. Jordan Family
    2. I am looking for information on my great grandfather, James J. Jordan who was born in the Sallisaw area in the 1860s. His only living child, my great aunt has been my "informant", but she remembers little about his family - but what little we know or she remembers is listed below: 1) he has 2 sisters who lived in the Sallisaw area then in the McAlester area 2) she was told that one of these sisters lost an arm in a railroad accident in the McAlester, OK area 3) his parents names were Jack and Sarah 4) the 1910 census states that his father was born in GA and his mother in SC 5) his parents both died in the early 1900s - we don't know how, when or where 6) the other information I have on him is from the Pittsburg Co area where he was a coalminer and married my great grandmother, Frances Nichols Jordan I'm totally lost as to where to go from here, but if anyone has any ideas, I'm open to all! I'm still searching the censuses in 1890, but have found nothing yet. Thanks in advance, Tsana [email protected]

    1. Re: Long Oklahoma
    2. Hello, I have relatives who are burried at the old Long Cemetery. I live in Van Buren, which if I travel north a couple of miles, I end up around Long, OK. I don't know how to get to the cemetery and I don't know for sure how to find out the names of the people burried in the cemetery. Do you by chance have any information on the cemetery and the community. Also, directions to the cemetery would be nice. All help is greatly appreciated. You may email me direct at [email protected]

AFter it does, you click display results. should get you there. There are alot of variations you could look under. I know that alot of people are not familiar with the NAIL.
