I have just joined this discussion list and wanted to ask a couple of questions. Does anyone know of any reference for the death and burial of a baby girl in Sequoyah County sometime between 1898-1900? I have a possible baby born at the end of the 19th century and dying as an infant. Her name would have been Mary Lindsay/Lindsey. Most likely if she was born and died then she would be buried near where the family lived on the 1900 census. They were in township 13 which shows to be the current very northern and eastern half of Sequoyah County. My g-grandparents were married in May 1898. Their oldest son was born June 1899. This possible baby Mary was not listed on any of the records that the family kept. Without assuming a premature birth of either Mary or the oldest son, then Mary would have been conceived before the marriage. That alone would be reason to keep her birth a secret especially after her death. I would like to put this rumor to rest one way or the other. Does anyone have records or have access to records that could confirm or deny this rumor? Any help and suggestions are greatly appreciated. Kristie Robinson
