Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK was once Southwest NORMAL School. My grandfather attended. He graduated with a biology degree. I would estimate that to be in the 1930's. Don't know much else about it than that except that SWOSU is a good school for an education degree. SWOSU does have a web site, you might be able to find more about it there.
