    3. Aug. 17, 2000 Herbert Eujean "Snag" WELLS Funeral services for Hebert Eujean " Snag" WELLS, a Weleetka resident, were held Aug. 11 at the Shurden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy ALEXANDER officiating. He was born Dec. 31, 1923 in Bryant to Louis R. WELLS and Madeline STATLER WELLS and died Aug. 8 at the age of 76 years, seven months and 10 days. Mr. WELLS was a station operator with Sun Oil Company in Seminole for 30 years. He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy. Mr. WELLS was a member of the VFW, Henryetta Post #539 and Henryetta American Legion Post #85. He was preceded in death by his father, Louis F. WELLS, his mother Madeline STATLER WELLS, brothers, Hubert "Bert" H. WELLS, Robert "Runt" WELLS and Harvey WELLS, sisters, Peggy Lou and Luella May, and two infant children. Survivors include daughters, Donna G. JAMES of Bedford, Tx. And Gail and Robert HUX of Houston, Tx.; a son, Daniel "Danny" WELLS of Seabrook, Tx.; grandchildren, Teresa Teri JAMES of Phoenix, Tx., Darren JAMES of San Jose, Ca. and Jascen WELLS of Shawnee, a great-grandchild, Craig JAMES of San Jose, Ca.; a sister, Betty Alberta MOORE of Bartlesville, ; special friends, James OLIVER and Margaret HARRISON; and several nieces and nephew. Military services were conducted at the cemetery by the VFW Post 539 of Henryetta. Interment was in Hillcrest Cemetery in Weleetka under the direction of Shurden Funeral Home of Henryetta. Aug. 17, 2000 Floye Lucinda GRAHAM Floye Lucinda GRAHAM, a resident of Henryetta, was born on May 20, 1911 in Yale County, AR. to W. Henry CAMPBELL and Cassie WALLACE CAMPBELL and died on Aug. 8 at the age of 89 years, two months and 20 days. She was married to J. C. GRAHAM on Jan. 18, 1935 in Ada. She received her B. S. degree from East Central State College in Ada in 1954. She taught school for four years at Bryant, three years at Pharoah and was a substitute teacher in the Tulsa public school system. She was active in church work, serving as Sunday School teacher for many years. She served as WMU president of her church for four years, secretary-treasurer of the Tulsa Association WNU for two years. Floye traveled extensively since 1962. She accepted Christ at an early age. Floye is survived by one son, Gerald GRAHAM of Rawlett, TX.; one daughter, Phillis CRAWFORD of Weleetka; one sister, Ramath PURTELL OF Belton, TX.; four brothers, John CAMPBELL of Wetumka, twin brothers Roy CAMPBELL of Oklahoma City, Aubie CAMPBELL of Tulsa and Nute CAMPBELL of Midwest City; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Aug. 11 at the First Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Jim PASLEY. Burial was at the Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Shurden Funeral Home. Aug. 17, 2000 Hully "Limbo" MANLEY Funeral services for Hully "Limbo" MANLEY were held Aug. 15 at the Alabama Baptist Church, Weleetka, with Rev. Eugene WHITLOW officiating. He died Aug. 11 at Wetumka General Hospital at the age of 64 years. Mr. MANLEY had lived in the area all his life and was a member of the Alabama Baptist Church. He drove a produce truck and made deliveries for Tulsa Fruit. Mr. MANLEY liked to go out and shoot pool and play with his grandchildren. Survivors include two sons, Tony ROBERTS of Illinois and Randy ROBERTS of Cromwell; one brother, Eugene MANLEY of Weleetka; two sisters, Sinah MANLEY BIRDCREEK of Weleetka and Cila MANLEY of Cromwell; five grandsons and three granddaughters; one great granddaughter; along with several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Interment was in the MANLEY family cemetery, Weleetka under the direction of Schumacher Funeral Home of Okemah. Aug. 17, 2000 John LONG Funeral services for John LONG were held Aug. 12 at the First Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Don WILLIAMSON officiating. He was born Aug. 28, 1953 in Weleetka to Clinton LONG and Leora CHASTAIN LONG and died Aug.9 at this home near Sallisaw at the age of 46 years, 11 months and 11 days. He was raised in Weleetka and attended Weleetka school. He was a true cowboy and spent most of his working life at various horse ranches across the country. On July 6, 1976 he was married to Sue SMITH. They had lived the past 11 years near Sallisaw where they owned and operated John LONG Training Stables. Mr. LONG was a member of the Oklahoma Thoroughbred Horse Association and was cited on several occasions for his training abilities. He was named Trainer of the Year three years by Blue Ribbons Downs. While living in Thomas, he attended the First Christian Church where he was baptized in 1984. Survivors include his wife, Sue, of the home; a son , Chris, of Claremore; a daughter, Kristen, of the home; his father, Clinton LONG of Okemah; four brothers, Tim and Wayne of Okemah, Preston of Carlsbad, N.M. and Gene of Pharoah; four sisters, Joann JOHNSON of Okemah, Kay WILSON and Dorothy MARTINEZ OF Carlsbad, N.M. and Cindy SPAIN of Okemah; along with several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Pallbearers were Bill WITHAM, James "Muggs" FOX, Marvin THOMASON, Ulysse YARBROUGH, Justin MILLS and Eric RIGGS. Interment was in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Weleetka, under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home. Aug. 17, 2000 Steven DeWayne STARR Funeral services for Steven DeWayne STARR, 32, will be held Friday, Aug. 18, at 2 p.m. at Robert Simons Funeral Home Chapel, Henryetta, with Mitchell TAYLOR officiating. Wake services will be Thursday, Aug. 17 at 7 p.m. at the chapel. He was born Oct. 27, 1967 in Tahlequah and died Aug. 14 in Sapulpa. He is the son of Bennie FIXICO and Rose Lea STARR RAGSDALE. Mr. STARR had attended school a Graham and Muskogee and graduated from Dustin high school in 1986. He liked to fish and play softball. He was a member of the Little Cussetah Church. Mr. STARR had been a resident of Sapulpa for the last six years, working as a welder at Fabwell for the last five years. He was preceded in death by his mother; a sister, Stephanie STARR; and grandparents, Eli and Lena (TAYLOR) STARR. Survivors include his wife, Angela STARR, of the home; one son, Eric STARR; one daughter, Brittny STARR, both of Muskogee; stepfather, Bennie FIXICO of Okemah; two brothers, Ronnie D. FIXICO of Tulsa and Dennis TAYLOR of Muskogee; one sister, Melanie FIXICO LOCUST of Albuquerque, N.M.; aunts, Sally JACKSON, Juney PARKS, Allene STARR, Emma FACTOR and Amy REAGAN; one uncle, James STARR; and several other relatives. Interment will be in the STARR family Cemetery under the direction of Robert Simons Funeral Home. Aug. 17, 2000 Vonnie L. ROBERSON Funeral services for Vonnie L. ROBERSON, a lifelong Holdenville resident, will be held Friday, Aug. 18 at 2 p.m. at the Hudson-Phillips Chapel in Holdenville with Rev. Meredith ROBINSON officiating. He was born Nov. 17, 1906 in Gravely, Ar. to Mr. And Mrs. R. L. ROBERSON and died Aug. 13 at Holdenville General Hospital at the age of 93. He married Jewel Faye MCCLESKEY on July 5, 1927 and she preceded him in death on June 13 of this year. Survivors include one daughter, Ruth D. BROOKS of Wewoka; one son and daughter-in-law, James V. and Wanda ROBERSON of Ferris, Tx.; grandchildren, Kenneth L. TALLENT of Oklahoma City, Billy and Janice CONN, Keith and Diana CLAYBROOK and John E. BROOKS, all of Wewoka, Robin Ann BROOKS of Palm Springs, Ca., Jim and Debbie ROBERSON all of Los Angles, Ca. Jeff and Linda ROBERSON of Dallas, Tx. And Greg and Tammie ROBERSON of Austin, Tx.; great-grandchildren, Christopher and Jennifer CONN and Brian and Kristin WHITLOCK all of Wewoka, Todd and Ashley TALLENT of Mustang, Brian ROBERSON of Dallas, Tx. Chris and Beth SAVINO of Los Angles, Ca.; great-great-grandchildren, Caleb Tanner CONN, Case Taylor CONN, Cade Terron CONN and Conner Keith WHITLOCK, all of Wewoka; one sister Pauline CALMUS of Tulsa; and one brother, Neal T. ROBERSON of Portland, Tx. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Kenneth TALLENT, Jim ROBERSON, Greg ROBERSON, Jeff ROBERSON, Keith CLAYBROOK and Billy CONN. Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandsons, Christopher CONN, Chadd CLAYBROOK, Todd TALLENT, Brian ROBERSON and Brian WHITLOCK. Interment will be in the Holdenville Cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home. Aug. 17, 2000 Charles Edman ESLICK Charles Edman ESLICK was born on Nov. 10, 1935 in Dustin to George Ervin and Bartha Jane (TOMLIN) ELSICK and died on Aug. 8 in Alex at the age of 65. Mr. ESLICK was a life long resident of the Henryetta area until a very recent move to Alex this year. He enjoyed raising chickens. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; a daughter, Judy Louise ESLICK; two brothers, Herman and William and sister , Dorothy ELSICK. He is survived by a son, Lewis ESLICK of Henryetta; three daughters, Linda Sue COX of Henryetta; Bartha DANIELS of Alex and Audrey COX of Chickasha; five brothers, Calvin, Virgil, Jesse ESLICK of Henryetta and James ESLICK of Farmerville, Ca.; 17 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held on Aug. 11 at Sonora Cemetery with Don WILLIAMSON officiating. Under the direction of Robert Simons Funeral Home. Aug. 17, 2000 Jessie David BULLARD Jessie David BULLARD died on Aug. 9 in Dewar at the age of 85. He was born on March 8, 1915 in Lena to Jim BULLARD and Maude SMITH BULLARD. He lived most of his life in Dewar area. He was married to Carmie Mae NUCKOLLS on Aug. 31, 1942. He was baptized at the Church of Christ. Mr. BULLARD was a veteran of WWII (1941 to 1945). He retired from Decker Foundry. He liked to work on small engines and bikes and enjoyed fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife and numerous siblings. Mr. BULLARD is survived by Jessie and Helen BULLARD of Tiger Mtm., Leroy and Peggy BULLARD of Dewar, Ed and Phyllis of Dewar, daughter Ruby and Roy GASSAWA of Weleetka, 16 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers include David BULLARD, Leroy BULLARD, Randy BULLARD, Jessie David BULLARD, Jason BULLARD. Honorary pallbearers include Scott HARRISON, Tom BULLARD and Harlan CALVERT. Funeral services were held on Aug. 12 at the Robert Simons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. WALCHER officiating and Gerald KAHLDEN reading the obituary. Interment followed at the Lena Cemetery in Lena.
