    2. Can anyone tell me how to get to the Oklahoma Historical Society bldg in Oklahoma City coming from I-40 and Meridien.  I think that is what it is called.  Anyway it is the big research library for genealogy in Oklahoma City. I also need to know where to park and if it cost anything to park.  Thank you Connie

    3. Here is a good website for the Oklahoma Historical Society < http://www.rootsweb.com/~okgs/ohsrlib.htm >. I go there several times monthly. Stay on I-40 and go East till you get to HW 77 (going N from I-40 it is called I-235; going S from I-40 it is called I-35). But get off on HY 77 (I-23, or I35) go north a very short distance and get off on Lincoln Boulevard. Take Lincoln Boulevard North to Lincoln and NE 23rd - you made it. If you miss the turn for Lincoln Street, get off on N 23rd street (and go east a very short distance) which runs under the capitol complex. The library is located on Lincoln. But Lincoln is a divided street around the capitol. The Library is on the SE corner of the Capitol Building. If you are going North on Lincoln, you will go right by the Library Building. All parking is free. There is a large parking lot on the east side of the building; and there is a large parking lot on the west side of Lincoln. Be forwarned, however, if there is a meeting going on in the auditorium of the building where the Library is, parking is a hassle. Also be forwarned, that this is the time of the year schools make their spring trips. There is no snack bar in the building. There are a limited number of vending machines in the basement. No food or drink allowed in the library or archives. If from out of town, would suggest you brownbag it. > > I also need to know where to park and if it cost anything to park. > ==== OKROOTS Mailing List ==== NOTICE: Posting of virus warnings, test messages, chain letters, political announcements, current events, items for sale, personal messages, flames, etc. (in other words - spam) is NOT ALLOWED and will be grounds for removal.
