I have court records indicating my mother's cousins were taken to the West Oklahoma Home at Helena, May 9, 1918. There were 5 children ages 1 to 9. (Their mother had died and the father became mentally unstable and was unable to care for them). Helena seems to be a very small town (710 population now) in Alfalfa County. This was approximately 70 miles from their previous home in Dewey County.. My question, does anyone have info on this home? Thanks. Nelda
