My grandfather, Donald Ray Brown was born in Tankawa. He own a CO. (Don Browns Oil, Supply and Salvage CO.) and traveled for most of his life around the OK/TX/AR area ( Ponca City, Tankawa, Kilgore, Ft Smith, Seminole CO. OK City). He married Genevieve Morrison in the 1930s and had my father, Donald Jr. They divorced and Dad went with grandma to Ft Worth while grandfather Brown continued to sell oil equipment in and around OK and N. TX. He remarried (Juanita) and had a daughter, Lisa Brown, born around 1949. Donald Ray had a twin sister but here whereabouts are unknown. It's not even known if she survived the birth. Donald Ray was known to drink a lot and philander quite a bit. He had amassed a small fortune and love to drive Cadillacs. My father went to Ponca City Military Academy until the 8th or 10th grade.
