    3. Hi, I'm looking for information on two families that lived in Oklahoma pre-statehood and after. 1. George Henderson WILLIAMS and his wife Betty SMITH Williams lived in Courtney, Love County, OK. They had 2 daughters, Wilhelmina and Ruby, and one son, Gross Henry (b. 1909, d. 1975). I know Gross Henry was born in Courtney, but I'm not sure of the others. I'm looking for any info on George Henderson and Betty. I believe George died in 1924 and Betty died in 1917, but I've been unable to verify. Anyone familiar with them or have any information at all? 2. Sallie BROWN (maiden name unknown) - She was apparently full blood Cherokee, but I'm not able to find any info on her. Here's what I do know: She was born in the early 1800's or late 1700's in North Carolina and married John BROWN, who was born in Scotland and traveled to the U.S. Family legends say she traveled west on the Trail of Tears. Sallie and John had a son, JAMES STANFORD BROWN (b. 9/30/1818 in TN, d. 11/12/1914 in Maud, AL). He served in the Confederate Cavalry in the Civil War. He married a woman with the last name HODGE, and they had a son, WILLIAM JASPER BROWN (b. 1/9/1860 in MS or AL, d. 3/16/1931 in Wilson, OK). William lived in Carter County, OK (Wilson) for many years and is buried there. I am interested in any information regarding his mother (Unknown HODGE), Sallie BROWN, or anything else someone can share regarding this family history. Thanks for your time!
