Vaught, Nov 14, 1945 before the Daughters of the American Revolution. The complete speech may be found in The Chronicles of Oklahoma pg 386-393, 1945. 1830 - President Jackson moved the Cherokees, Choctaws, Chickasaws, Creeks and Seminoles to Indian Territory (at the time Arkansas and Oklahoma) 1832 - Congress appointed the Stokes commission to deal with the Indians and make treaties with them. The tribes located in Indian Territory were; Senecas, Choctaws, Cherokees, Creeks, Osages, Wichitas, Wacoes, Comanches, Kiowas, Delawares, Quapaws, Seminoles, Cheyennes, Arapahoes, Sac and Foxes, Pawnees, Iowas, Kickapoos, Shawnees, Potawatomis, Poncas, Sioux, Otes and Missouris.
