    3. Prior to the opening of the Cheokee Outlet there were a group of cattlemen that leased the Outlet from the Cheroke Indians. My GGGrandfather Joshua Theodore HORSLEY [B. Jan 4,1845in Matton, Coles Co., Illinois D. Jan 4,1904 inear Marshall, Logan Co., Oklahoma] was one of these cattlemen. As near as I can figure out he leased about 35 square miles of Kay County. I would very much like to find records from this group, if any still exist. Theodore made the run into the Oklahoma Territory and settled in the Marshall, Logan County area. I would also like to find any other HORSLEY researchers out there I have quite a lot of information about his descendants. His second wife Willie Ann PAYNE [B. Mar 29,1861 in Park City, Kentucky D. Oct 30,1946 in Shawnee, Pottawattomie Co., Oklahoma] and her children moved to the Shawnee area. His first wife, Sophie FRALICH [B. Oct 1845 D. Feb 26,1878 in Hunnewell Ka], is thought to have had cousins[?] in the Muskogee area by the name of BLOOM. Their daughter, Nettie, moved to the Shawnee area also. Their son, Calvin, stayed at the land near Marshall and also had property in Enid, Garfield County.
