    3. In the corner of the McAlaster, OK library today I found on the floor in the corner, a beautiful old tattered log book. Inside I found many pasted newspaper clips. All old, all related to Native Americans. With all of the Surnames I see on this and other lists I found 2 that may be of interest. No dates with the article though, just the article and picture: 1st. William Henry Harrison, chief of the Choctaws and long prominent in Indian affairs, died last night at his home after a lengthy illness. 2nd Mr. and Mrs. Victor M. LOCKE, Jr. Here is Col. Victor M. Locke, jr. former Choctaw governor and superintendent of the five civilized tribes, and his bride last week the former Mrs. Sudie McAlister Barnes, daughter of the late J. J. McAlaster, founder of the city of McAlaster and second lieutenant governor of Oklahoma. The wedding climaxed a romance of the old Choctaw nation which had its begining during their college days. Mr and Mrs. LOCKE, both members of the prominent Indian Families, will make their home in Oklahoma city. Hope this helps someone! Tiffany
