    3. Mary Grace: In a 1911 book entitled, "Gospel Preachers in Texas and Oklahoma," compiled by Mrs. C. R. Nichol there is an entry for B. C. YOUNG with a picture of a heavily bearded gentleman and the following biographical sketch: [B. C. Young was born February 20, 1842, in Tennessee. English and Irish descent. His grandfather was Methodist preacher in England. His father was a Methodist, and his mother joined them on "probation," but was never received into full fellowship. At the age of 64 and 67, respectively, they obeyed the gospel. Brother Y. secured his education, largely thru his own energies, after he was grown - working and attending school. He was a student in the Bible School, Lexington, Ky., for one year. In 1869 he was married to Amanda E. Hall. She assisted him in is work of preaching - being wise in counsel, noble in character, strong in faith and constant in devotion to her family and her God. To them six children were born. Four now living - devoted members of the church. For a time he lived in Missouri, and under the teaching of the Cumberland Presbyterians tried to "get religion," but failed to "come through." June 10, 1866, at Murfreesboro, Tenn., he obeyed the gospel. At that time he was 24 years old and had never seen any one baptized. Two years later he began preaching and since that time has been active in the ministry. Brother Y. is rather of a retiring disposition, which accounts for his not being more widely known. In his quiet way he has labored in Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, California, Texas, Oklahoma and Mexico. Tho 64 years old he has spent the year of 1910 among strangers and largely in mission work in Florida.] I hope this is of some help to you.
