    2. Hi List, Could someone tell me what county Downs is located. I find James, Ed, and Frank RECTOR made the Cherokee Strip Land Run. My grandfather, James H. RECTOR had three sons with his Choctaw wife. I know one of them was named Ed and I wonder if these could be my long lost half Uncles. Any clues will be appreciated. W.L. Barker

    3. >From George Shirk's Oklahoma Place Names: Downs. In Kingfisher County, 1 mile north of Cashion. P.O. established Aug 12, 1889. The name was changed to Cashion and p.o. was moved to new location May 14, 1900. Named for Charles Downs, early day surveyor. Joan
